सिंधारा दूज व्रत श्रावण मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया तिथि को उत्तर भारत के राज्यों जैसे राजस्थान, उत्तर प्रदेश और हरियाणा में विशेष रूप से विवाहित महिलाओं द्वारा किया जाता है। यह व्रत देवी पार्वती (गौरी) को समर्पित होता है और इसका उद्देश्य भाई एवं पति की लंबी आयु, समृद्धि और पारिवारिक सुख-शांति की कामना करना होता है। इसे सिंधारा दूज इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि इस दिन महिलाओं को वस्त्र, मिठाई, चूड़ियाँ, सौंदर्य सामग्री आदि उपहार स्वरूप भेजे जाते हैं, जिसे सिंधारा कहा जाता है।
